Finally, the sensational iOS and Android craze that is Angry Birds has come to Windows PCs! It was released before too, via the Intel app store, but seriously, who uses that? ( especially since it wasn’t available worldwide!?) But now, Rovio has released the award winning game for Windows and not only that, Angry Birds Rio has also been made available while Angry Birds Seasons is coming soon.
The coolest thing about these Angry Birds releases? They are free demos and the full versions can be bought for just $4.95 each! Trust us, it will be worth every dollar you spend on it. Also, a sale is available throughout the world through the Angry Birds shop.
To get the game, download the free demo and then buy an activation key from the Angry Birds shop and you’re good to go. You can even try it before buying the activation key, but the addiction will get to you sooner or later and you would want all the levels.
As for the system requirements, here they are:
- OS Windows XP SP2
- RAM 512MB
- CPU 1 GHz
- Graphic OpenGL 1.3 compatible
- Internet Connection required for activation
The game is just as fun to play on Windows as it was on Android and iOS devices. The experience is definitely the best if you have a touch screen capable Windows computer.
Is it just us or it is odd that Rovio didn’t use Direct X over OpenGL 1.3?
P.S. Weirdly, the correct icon for Angry Birds doesn’t show in Games Explorer in Windows 7, neither does the detail. What’s up Rovio?
You can also play Angry Birds for free via Chrome Web Store on Windows, OS X or Linux.
