Finally, Apple has released iOS 4.3 to iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users. BGR’s report for yesterday’s iOS 4.3 release turned out to be wrong, but today’s earlier release of iTunes 10.2.1 meant that the iOS release is near.

This just in! iOS 4.3 is set to release for iPhone 3GS/4, iPod Touch 3G/4G, iPad and iPad 2 at 10AM PST today according to BGR’s sources. iOS 4.3 will bring Air Play support to third party apps, hardware rotation lock/mute switch option as well as Personal Hotspot amongst others. Microsoft has posted new job openings for hardware engineers ranging from graphics to audio/video hardware for Xbox. The interesting bit from these job postings is that the team at Microsoft’s Mountain View research campus is looking for defining and delivering next generation console architectures for which the new job postings are up. It looks like Microsoft is hiring new talent for their next generation Xbox. Xbox 720 perhaps?

Apple have seeded OS X 10.6.7 build 10J868 to developers. No known issues are present in this build while Apple wants developers to focus on Safari, Mac App Store, AirPort, Bonjour, SMB and Graphics Drivers in this release.

Mozilla have been churning out betas for Firefox 4 like anything. I’ve been following the progress of the betas closely and there has been a lot of progress through out the development life cycle for Firefox 4 so far although it’s still not Google Chrome like fast yet.

Here’s an industry first: Warner Bros. will start renting movies from their respective Facebook fan pages for 30 Facebook credits each ( that’s $3 ). Currently online is The Dark Knight, which is already the highest grossing movie ever, and they’re milking every penny from it by using it in all new territories.

The guys over at XDA Developers have managed to extract the music app from Honeycomb and use it to sync music using the yet unannounced music syncing service by Google. Honeycomb hasn’t been released for handsets yet but hackers have managed to extract different parts of it to use in custom ROMs already.

This is a rare thing to happen but sometimes, due to OEM crap ware, the power plans in Windows 7 (or Vista, if that’s your thing ) either disappear or are renamed to something else than what they are in a clean Windows 7 install. Recently, due to a certain HP app, the High Performance power plan just disappeared from my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition install on my notebook and I was just left with 2 options for power plans, Balance and Power saver. Upon doing a little research, I found the fix for this.
