How To Install Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread on Samsung Galaxy S [Guide]

<Category: Android, Google> 2 Comments

After a long wait and tons of leaked Android 2.2 Froyo builds, Samsung Galaxy S users got a well deserved Gingerbread 2.3.2 build I9000XWJV1. This is a beta build but everything seems to work in it. There are some reported incompatibilities with different apps but that’s due to the fact that it’s a Gingerbread build and not Froyo. Other than that, it seems like a good build to try out. If you’re interested, follow our simple instructions to install it.

iTunes 10.2 updated with iOS 4.3 support and improved Home Sharing

<Category: Apple, iTunes> Only 1 comment

As expected after yesterday’s iPad 2 launch event, Apple has updated iTunes to version 10.2 to support iOS 4.3 and improved Home Sharing which allows you to browse and play iTunes libraries from any iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with iOS 4.3. This is the feature we really wanted and we wonder what it means for apps like Air Video now which technically allow you to do the same although with a wider range of video formats. Compared to Air Video though, the improved Home Sharing will allow you to play songs as well as videos.

How to follow the Apple iPad 2 Event Live Online

<Category: Apple, iPad> 2 Comments

In case you’ve been living under a rock since the past few weeks, today, Apple is holding an event to announce iPad 2. The second generation of the king of tablets is expected to have a faster processor, more RAM, front facing camera for FaceTime and Thunderbolt for I/O. Whatever the feature set may be, we don’t expect any changes in iOS that may make tablet computing more exciting than it is for iPad users i.e. no Honeycomb like features. Apple-iPad-2-Event

Hey @Microsoft, I’m Getting Rid of Windows Phone 7 and Here’s Why!

<Category: Microsoft, Windows Phone 7> 13 Comments

I love trying out new operating systems and gadgets. That’s why I blog on technology. So despite any doubts I had on Microsoft’s latest effort in the mobile arena, despite their history with Windows Mobile 6.5 (could have been way better than what it was) and KIN (duh!), I decided to give Windows Phone 7 a try. I had been using Android and iOS so I had a pretty good idea of what to compare WP7 with. And after giving it lots of chances, here’s my honest and unbiased opinion on Microsoft’s efforts.
