Bartender 2 released with El Capitan support and new features

Bartender 2 is now available for OS X users with El Capitan support, updated design, keyboard navigation, menu items search and improved performance and battery usage. Bartender is a popular app for OS X which allows users to organize their menu bar items and is very useful for users who have tons of icons up there.

The new version (for OS X 10.10 and above only) has an updated design and animations which look native on Yosemite and El Capitan. It also works with the light and dark menu bar themes in OS X. New keyboard shortcuts for navigation work with arrow keys and make it a breeze to use Bartender 2. Power users will also like the fast search to find their menu bar icon.

Unlike Bartender 1, users do not have to worry about disabling System Integrity Protection in OS X as the new update works with El Capitan without requiring any changes. Coupled with the minimal impact on performance and battery friendly rewrite, the update is recommended for all existing users.

Bartender is still not for everyone but for the most hardcore power users. To see if it fulfils your requirements, you can test Bartender as a free trial for 4 weeks. The full version can be purchased for $15 while the upgrade for existing Bartender users is available for $7.5 Note that the app is not available from the Mac App Store and has to be purchased from the website.
