If you’ve been beta testing the new Firefox 4, you should have received an update recently to the official release version. Tomorrow is the official launch of Firefox 4, and Mozilla will have their servers ready for the surge of download traffic that comes with a major release. Tonight, the release is available via their FTP server, which is not made to handle as much traffic. For that reason, we do not link to Mozilla’s servers for the download. Instead, you can grab the 4.0 download files from Fileforum below. Read more...

Well, well, well. Steve Jobs wouldn’t be sitting easy after reading this. Safari on Mac OS X fell to hackers at Pwn2Own contest in just 5 seconds! That’s incredibly scary by any means but the good news is, the exploits used to do this aren’t going to be released in the wild for wrong usage. A close second was Internet Explorer 8 ( who uses that? Get IE9! ), which fell to three different vulnerabilities and custom exploits. Read more...

Great news for Facebook fans (or rather Facebook CEO fans), a fun Mak Zuckerberg action figure is now available for purchase at M.I.C Store. The figure is called the “The Poking Inventor” to make sure you don’t get sued (and screwed) by a multi-billion dollar social network. The figure is selling for $70 and is limited to just 300 pieces. This action figure is created by Cyril Chang, who also made the Steve Jobs version which Apple stopped from being sold. Read more...

Official Twitter app for iPhone / iPad just got updated to v3.3 and with it came a big annoyance. Yes thats right, I call it a “big” annoyance coz it actually screws up the whole minimalistic design of Twitter iPhone app. Its called the “Quick Bar” or a trend bar, whatever they want us to call it but most definitely, we are not buying it at all. Its basically a translucent notification bar at the top of your timeline that shows Twitter’s beloved and promoted trends (or Ads) which are most of the time, pretty lame. What’s more annoying is that it keeps showing up each time you tap the timeline tab or even when switching between different tabs, duh! Read more...
