Amazon’s Appstore Lets You ‘Test Drive’ Apps On Your Computer!

<Category: Android, Internet> No comment

With Amazon’s new Android Appstore rolling out, there is a feature that makes Amazon’s Appstore look like it’s a step ahead of Apple’s. “Test Drive” allows potential Appstore customers to try out the app in their browser, on a virtual, cloud-based, Android virtual machine. This is a remarkable step towards both showing the power of cloud-based computing and giving customers a fair idea of what they can expect from an app before they buy it. While “Test Drive” only allows for 30 minutes of app testing, it is still a very impressive move on Amazon’s part. It’s not difficult to imagine Apple implementing something similar into iTunes sometime in the near future.
