We’ve shown you how to make your own USB or DVD Recovery Disk, but now Apple has released it’s own official Recovery Disk Creator. Apple also started making recovery drives available for $69.99 from their Apple Care Site as well.
If any other Apple TV Owners out there are like me, I would love to have iOS apps and functionality available to me on my TV. Luckily, I will be able to mirror my iPad 2 on my TV with iOS 5, but others will have to settle for jailbreaks. Some information was found back in iOS 5 Beta 3 that the Apple TV will be able to support games and apps natively on the little device, but that will still need to wait for iOS 5 to release.

It’s not been a long time since Apple announced that there are over 425,000 applications in the App Store. In fact, this was last month and today, a month afterwards that number seems to have been increased by 50,000 according to Apps Fire.

Why did you Jailbreak your device? To change your theme or add functionality to iOS? I’ll bet the first thing to come to your mind when jailbreaking your device was that you could run Windows on it. Cydia provides all sorts of apps to choose from; games, tweaks, themes, etc. There is a new kid on the block however, iWindows.

Another nuance has worked it’s way out of the cracks for OSX Lion, some users are experiencing the Mac App Store running a bit slow. Several users are experiencing the spinning busy ball that OSX uses when it’s busy. It is most commonly seen when browsing from app to app. There is most likely a bug or another issue related to this problem, but for now, the folks at OSX Daily have come up with a couple of temporary solutions.

Just recently, iOS 5 beta 5 was released by Apple for iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPod touch 3G / 4G and iPad / iPad 2 and as always, the big question is raised, can it be jailbroken with any of the existing jailbreak tools? Can redsn0w do its magic once again and jailbreak iOS 5 beta 5 just like the previous releases? Unfortunately the answer to all these questions, at least for now, is NO!

iCloud is what Apple likes to call “cloud storage done right!”. For those who have been living under a rock for the last few months, iCloud (previously MobileMe) is Apple’s cloud based service. It was first announced on June 6 2011 at the WWDC. Currently, the service is in beta stage, open only to those who have signed up for Apple Developer’s program, a subscription based membership which costs $99 a year bringing you exclusive access to all the beta releases related to Mac and iOS along with tons of developer only goodies.
Remember the good old days of Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail, the time we only had a megabyte or two of storage? And then when Google announced Gmail with 1GB of storage, that seemed unbelievable.
