Within an hour of Angry Birds for Chrome being released, it has already been hacked. Developer Wes Bos discovered that with a quick change to the cache, he was able to unlock all the levels in the game, including the Chrome limited edition levels. Read more...

Google’s next big release of Android will be code named Ice Cream Sandwich, and will be available by the fourth quarter of this year. This will be Google’s attempt to solve it’s OS fragmentation issues, with this version uniting all their devices, including phones and tablets. One new featured noted by Google is support for standard USB peripherals, meaning Ice Cream Sandwich will be able to connect with external devices such as keyboards, trackpads, controllers, etc without any additional hacking or tweaking. In relation to Google’s I/O event, they have launched their Music Beta service, by invite only, today. Music Beta allows users to store their music in the cloud and sync it wirelessly to their devices. Currently, they only mention this working on Android devices, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this worked with iOS as well, just not natively of course. Read more...

Apple has been in talks with Verizon about delivering iOS 5 updates via the air, much like Android and Blackberry devices do today. Apple has long required the tethered update to iTunes, requiring you to plug in your device, open itunes, download, and install the update. Read more...

Google has finally released it’s Chrome Canary build for Mac. Canary is Google Chrome’s Developer builds, which google is numbering version 13. The current release of Chrome is at Version 11, with the beta builds at version 12. This means a few things, the builds are very unstable and are very frequent. Security is not guaranteed so you should use Canary along side another version of Chrome. I would avoid doing any shopping or putting any personal information into a web page using the browser.
