Apple pushed iOS 5 beta 6 to the developers community just now and if you haven’t already, you can download the firmware now for your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G / 4G, iPad or iPad 2 either directly by logging in to your developer’s account or from here, in case you are not a developer. Also, if you are running a previous beta build of iOS 5 e.g beta 4 or beta 5, you can take the easy route and simply get beta 6 via OTA download option. This will be a lot quicker [144 Mb approx.] as compared to downloading the full firmware .IPSW which is almost 5 times larger in size. Read more...

Back in July, Google released it’s own photo sharing application, Photovine. The Photovine service works by a user uploading a photo and creating a caption for the photo. Then others can see the photo and share it. Hence, creating a vine. The app was first released as a beta only service, but with last nights update, anyone can sign up for the new service. It would seem at this point that the iPhone 5 rumors would never end! Which can only mean that it is coming very soon! With the event rumored to be held on September 7th, we can hope that it doesn’t get pushed back for any reason. The iPhone 5 is now expected to be released on either October 7th or October 14th. Here we go again guys! Tag your calendars and setup the reminders for the next big Apple event. According to a recent report by MacRumors, a Japanese website Kodawarisan claims that annual Apple media event 2011 will be held on September 7th according to the US time (or September 8th as per Japanese local time). The traditional Apple fall event is being held every year for the last 3 years in September which brings announcements for the next generation iPod models including iPod touch, iPod shuffle and iPod nano.
