This news rather comes with a surprise as Apple’s biggest invention of the year, the iCloud, has already received a lawsuit even before it has actually been launched to the general public. A communications company from Arizona registered by the name of iCloud Communications LLC, has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Apple over using the name iCloud. They not only believe that Apple’s advertising of iCloud is damaging their business but also think that Apple is offering services “similar to them”. I mean, seriously?

How To Jailbreak iOS 5 On iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPad & iPod Touch With Redsn0w 0.9.8 [iOS 5 BETA 1]
And here it is folks! The first working iOS 5 jailbreak solution is out as Dev-Team releases the latest version of Redsn0w i.e version 0.9.8. The updated tool can jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1 running on any iPhone 4 (GSM & CDMA) / iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G / 4G and iPad / iPad 2. However, the jailbreak is currently tethered meaning you need to plug it to your computer to run it in jailbroken mode, every time to reboot your device. Since @i0n1c’s untethered exploit is seemingly patched, there is no ETA as to when the untethered version will be released.
Apple iOS 5 iCloud Applications
For several years now, since the iPhone came out, the App Store was confusing. When you bought an app on one device, or if you bought an app and uninstalled it, the store would still show that you need to buy it for $.99. You would click buy now, and once it started to download, it would finally tell you that you have already purchased the app, and you can download it again for free. Phew! It was a heart pounding experience. Now, with iCloud, Apple has finally updated that functionality in iOS 5.
iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak Exploit Patched Already?
Even though it took less than 48 hours for Dev-Team to demonstrate iOS 5 root access by publishing photos of jailbroken iPod touch 4G using Limera1n bootrom exploit from Geohot, the jailbreak is however based on a tethered boot. Also, getting it untethered anytime soon isn’t going to be easy since the untethered exploit from @i0n1c might already have been patched by Apple in iOS 5 beta developer release.
Apple iOS 5 Hands-On Preview
Since I do iOS development, I have an Apple developer account, allowing me to download iOS5 Beta. I’ve taken some screenshots and am very happy with the new iOS. Since it is a beta, there are still a few bugs, so if you’re not a developer, it would be a good idea to wait on this update.
Update to iOS 5 Without UDID registration or Developer Account (How To Guide)
Since iOS 5 has been released, which was only Monday, several things have happened. First, the iOS has already been jailbroken, and now you can install it on your own even without a developer account. We’re going to tell you how.
iOS 5 Jailbreak With Limera1n + Tethered Boot Achieved By Dev-Team!
iOS 5 was shown off yesterday by Apple at the WWDC 2011 and it didn’t take long for Dev-Team to achieve a workinh jailbreak. MuscleNerd has just tweeted a picture of his iPod touch 4G running iOS 5 jailbroken with Limera1n. Of course it currently has a tethered boot status but at this pace I assume, it won’t be long before we have a fully untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 beta for iPhone, iPod and iPad released to public.
New Features In iOS 5 For iPhone, iPad & iPod Revealed At WWDC 2011 [FULL DETAILS]
The wait is finally over! Apple today unveiled the highly anticipated iOS 5 for iPhone, iPod and iPad during the welcome keynote by CEO Steve Jobs himself that kicked off the annual WorldWide Developer’s Conference 2011. As already expected, iOS 5 brings major enhancements to the notifications system, camera app and over 200 new features in total. It will be available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 3G & 4G. iOS 5 SDK is available to developers right away.
Get iBooks Like Page Animations On iPhone With PagePusher [Cydia]
Ryan Petrich, the developer behind acclaimed Cydia tweaks such as Display Out, SwitcherMod, Untrackerd and Action Menu brings yet another cool release for all jailbroken iPhones and iPods called PagePusher. The tweak adds an iBooks-like “page turning” transition when switching between application panels in iOS. This tweak however does perceivably slow down your device performance and having a system-wide page turning effect is rather annoying than it feels inside iBooks.
iOS 5 To Bring Twitter Integration For Photo & Content Sharing?
A report published by TechCrunch early this week revealed Apple’s plans to integrate Twitter in iOS 5 for easy sharing of photos and other content. The claim was backed up by an official announcement from Twitter the very next day stating that it will soon launch its own photo sharing service as well as a hint from John Gruber of Daring Fireball that Apple will indeed be building Twitter deeply into iOS 5. Now, another source has shed some more light on Apple’s Twitter integration plans.
