One of my favorite 2D Fighting games of all times, the King Of Fighters series finally makes its way to iPhone / iPod touch and is now available for download in the AppStore named as The King Of Fighters-i. The game features trademark SNK graphics optimized for iOS. You play using a Virtual Pad similar to the one used in Capcom’s Street Fighter IV for iPhone. Best of all, you can pull of a complex combos and special moves by press of a single “Special Button”. Slick eh!

iPod Touch 5G To Support 3G Connectivity, Coming Fall 2011 [Rumor]

<Category: Apple, iPod> No comment

iPod touch + 3G connectivity = iPhone right? Well, it might sound weird at first but if we remove the ability to make phones calls from an iPhone while keeping 3G connectivity exclusively for data, just like an iPad 3G, we might get what Apple is rumored to have planned for the iPod touch 5G. According to AppleSpot.nl, the fifth generation iPod touch will incorporate antennas for 3G / EDGE data connection and a SIM card tray for inserting a data SIM. Frankly speaking, its not a bad idea at all!

For those who are not sure what Swype is, it is the “typing” system mostly found on Android devices. Swyping allows users to type faster in many instances, as you don’t need to tap the keys you want. All you do is swype across the keyboard where the letters are that you want to use.

The tweak is developed by Alexandros Melakis and once installed, adds a simple “fade in” effect to the application icons when swiping across the springboard pages. You can also switch off the SBFader from Settings app and also adjust the opacity to which icons fade during the transition. There is also an option to adjust the duration (in seconds) of the fade effect.
