This is the first Windows 8 build to be leaked and according to Neowin, it is the final Milestone 1 as well as the last version 6.1 build. You wont find this build yet on your favorite file sharing website because it has just been leaked to a private ftp.Windows 8

Windows Phone 7 (WP7) Mango Update Build 7753 Leaked Already!

According to PocketNow, a newer build of Windows Phone 7 software (supposedly a build of Mango update) has been found running on an LG Optimus 7. The handset belongs to Windows Phone Italy commenter “Huggye” who has posted a picture of his WP7 home screen showing a search button. He comments on his picture “look who came to me with the node that button.” Previously this mysterious search-style button was seen on the home screen and applications listing of an HD2 running WP7, as reported by PocketNow.

If you own a newer Samsung laptop, you might have a fiasco on your hands akin to the Sony 2005 BGM Rootkit scandal. According to Network World, Samsung has been installing a keylogger on its new laptops. A keylogger, for those who don’t know, is a program designed to record every single keystroke entered, even in password-protected windows, and usually transmits the logged keystrokes regularly via email. Windows Phone 7 “NoDo” Update Is Now Available For Download!

The Windows Phone 7 March 2011 update aka “NoDo” is now available for download. The first WP7 update for year 2011 features the much awaited “copy and paste” and a whole lot more. Some Windows Phone 7 users who have already downloaded the update are reporting the “NoDo” update is listed as build 7390 under the “Windows Phone Update – March 2011″ push.

How To Restore Default Windows 7 Power Plans

This is a rare thing to happen but sometimes, due to OEM crap ware, the power plans in Windows 7 (or Vista, if that’s your thing ) either disappear or are renamed to something else than what they are in a clean Windows 7 install. Recently, due to a certain HP app, the High Performance power plan just disappeared from my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition install on my notebook and I was just left with 2 options for power plans, Balance and Power saver. Upon doing a little research, I found the fix for this.

Next week is the annual Pwn2Own competition, in which security analysts and hackers alike attempt to find and show off security exploits on various devices. While Pwn2Own generally centralizes around computers, this year the mobile display is receiving a lot of attention.
