Windows Phone 7 SeriesAs if a few leaked internal documents were not enough to convince most mobile developers out there, Charlie Kindel, the Microsoftee in whose hands lies the future of application development for Windows Phones, has confirmed that development for Windows Phone 7 Series will be done using .NET, Silverlight and XNA. <Category: Microsoft, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7> 3 Comments

image If you had believed that Microsoft’s support will keep Windows Mobile 6.5 alive and running alone – think again. Other companies aren’t willing to invest time and money in an operating system that is being treated as a second class citizen by Microsoft itself. Adobe has announced that they have dropped Flash 10.1 for Windows Mobile 6.5 in favor of Windows Phone 7 Series. Now this is also good news for those who thought we will never have Flash in Windows Phone 7 Series, but bad news for all those who are sporting their WinMo 6.5 devices.

New features in Windows Mobile 6.5.3

Sony Ericsson Aspen is the first mobile with Windows Mobile 6.5.3, the latest update to version 6.5 which is optimized for finger touch with various updates to the UI. It’s the first version of Windows Mobile to natively support capacitive touch displays ( HTC HD2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 has a capacitive display too though), finally bringing it up to date with competing mobile operating systems. Internet Explorer performance has also been updated, but I’ve seen most Windows Mobile users deeply in love with Skyfire.
