Apple has released iOS 10.3.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. After months of developer and public beta testing, the minor update is now available via iTunes as well as an over-the-air update for all compatible devices. The update is less than 100MB in size for most devices and contains security patches and bug fixes.iOS 10.3.3

Those expecting to find any new features and changes in this release are going to be in for some disappointment. At this stage of an iOS release’s life, we rarely get to see anything interesting as the only changes are under-the-hood. The changes are related mostly to security to patch vulnerabilities in different parts of the operating system. iPad Pro users might enjoy the new wallpapers added in this release, but they did not make their way to iPhone and iPod touch users.

The best way to grab the new update is to download it by going to Settings > General > Software Update from your iOS device. You can also connect your iOS device to your computer and update via iTunes. If you want to do a clean install using iTunes, an advanced method is to download the relevant IPSW file for your device (links are given below), connect your iOS device to your computer and manually install it.

Though this is a minor update, Apple is working on iOS 11, which is available as a preview for developers and public beta testers. iOS 11 contains a number of major new features, some of which fundamentally change the way iPad works. Both iPhone and iPad will get some much needed improvements this September, when iOS 11 will be released to the general public. Until then, iOS 10.3.3 will be the last version of iOS 10.x series.
