Apple has released iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra developer previews after WWDC 2017 yesterday. Both operating system updates ship with tons of new features, both targeted towards consumers as well as developers.
Both operating systems also have a new wallpaper in each of them. Download these wallpapers by clicking on the thumbnails below.
iOS 11 does not have any new dynamic or live wallpapers. They are the same ones that have been there since their introduction. Apple might roll out new wallpapers for both operating systems before final releases but for now, we only have two new wallpapers.
iOS 11 has several new iPad specific features like multitasking improvements, drag and drop and a new Dock which replaces the icon row at the bottom of the home screen. Apple Pencil users will be able to use features like instant markup, notes and drawing on iPad Pro. Other iOS features for iPhone and iPad include a new Files app for file organization, augmented reality, Apple Pay updates for person to person cash sharing and new efficient codecs for photos and videos (HEVC and HEIF). App improvements for Camera, Photos, Notes, Siri, Maps, Apple Music and News are also a part of iOS 11. Designs improvements for iOS 11 include new animations, design tweaks through the OS, updated lock screen and notifications. New developer APIs include Metal 2, ARKit, NFC tag reading, CoreML for machine learning, SiriKit updates, Depth API, Files API, AirPlay 2 and more.
macOS High Sierra (funny name, right?) has received updates like a brand-new file system, AFS, HEVC h.265 code for video compression, Metal 2 for 10x graphics performance than before and Virtual Reality support. New developer APIs include CoreML, Swift 4, APFS, updates to WebKit and HEVC. Apps like Messages, Notes, Safari, Siri, iCloud Drive and FaceTime have also been updated.
