Few hours ago, Apple announced iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Now, this update has also been released for to Apple TV 2G. The latest firmware build appears to be iOS 4.2, build 8C150 unlike iOS 4.2.1 for other devices as revealed by direct download links provided by Apple today.
This update enables AirPlay for video functionality on Apple TV 2G. Although it’s not yet clear whether Apple has managed to include a fix for some reported color issues on Sony and Philips TVs but hopefully it should be fixed.
