Well, it was already highly expected that the iPhone 4 will be sold out as early as it will be made available for pre-orders. People were just anxiously waiting to get their hands on the new iPhone 4. And because of this, the first round of iPhone 4 pre-orders are completed by AT&T and also Apple has finished its initial allotment of iPhone 4.
The great new features of iPhone 4 are attracting more and more customers for iPhone 4 and that’s why Tuesday, June 15 was the busiest online sales day in AT&T’s history. And still those who have placed their orders on Tuesday, they are not guaranteed to get their device by the 24th of this month. Engadget got an official statement from AT&T which confirms that.
Because of the incredible interest in iPhone 4, today was the busiest online sales day in AT&T history. As of Tuesday afternoon, customers who preorder iPhone 4 moving forward will receive their device on June 25 or later, depending on when the order is placed. We’ll email customers with confirmation once their order is placed, and again when it ships. In addition, we will have devices available on a first-come, first-serve basis in our stores beginning on June 24.
Even though all the pre-orders are done for 24th, you can still get iPhone 4 on June 24 because Apple may have some stock for walk in traffic. Other options could be AT&T store, Wall Mart, Radio Stack and Best Buy. These retailers may have iPhone 4 but may be they will not have huge quantities which will be sold out soon as well. So, you would be lucky if you get an iPhone 4 on June 24th.
