Nintendo Expert to lead Apple’s gaming charge

Apple has already kicked some serious butt in the gaming industry by throwing it’s competitors overboard, and now they have hired a Nintendo expert from IGN to lead it’s gaming department, Matt Casamassina.

On his blog, Casamassina has written:

In a nutshell, I will be leading the charge for games on the App Store, so whether you browse through iTunes, iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, the games content you see will be handpicked and organized by me and my team. I couldn’t be happier.

He has every reason to be excited about joining Apple, why wouldn’t he be? Apple is really taking a great dive into the gaming industry with numerous titles for the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad and the numbers are getting bigger and bigger. From this we can easily deduce that people really see Apple as an emerging giant in the gaming department. Apple surely wasn’t kidding when they unveiled the iPhone for the first time! [via 9to5Mac]
