Google Trends is a tool by Google which shows the hottest search queries being searched on Google. This list mostly matches current events and happenings and changes every hour. Ironically, someone has come up with a Google Trends mash up that finds search results for the hot queries using Bing.
Share your Bing searches on Facebook and Twitter with Bing and Ping
<Date: 2009-09-04> <Category: Microsoft> 5 CommentsBing is gradually becoming my favorite search engine. Why? Because they’re working really hard on the search results and the improvements is really evident if you use it daily like me. I haven’t stopped using Google either, so it helps me in comparing the search results for both engines. Google isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But Bing isn’t either. It’s here to stay! The newest upcoming Bing feature ‘Bing and Ping’ shows how hard the Bing Team is working.

I recently created and released a Windows 7 theme for Bing which has been already downloaded many times and appreciated as well. Thank you all for the wonderful response!
Permalink: Download the unofficial Bing wallpaper!
Do you Bing? If you do, this Windows 7 theme is just for you! With a brand new wallpaper, a matching color scheme and custom startup and shutdown sounds, this theme is just waiting to be installed to your Windows 7 desktop. It’s not an official theme. The credit for the wallpaper and sound editing goes to me, but the sounds have been created by Microsoft themselves and Bing as well
So, what are you waiting for?! Download it now!

Microsoft has come up with a cool new feature for Bing. It has started showing tweets in the results for popular Twitter users. Tweets with profile image and link show up when you search for popular Twitter users such as Robert Scoble or @aplusk. This is one of the first integrations of Twitter by a major search engine by default, as you can already ad similar capabilities to Yahoo Search through the Yahoo Search Gallery, which isn’t that convenient.
To see the tweets, you’ll have to use the word twitter, tweet or @{Twitter user name} in your search query on Bing. This doesn’t work perfectly yet as I found out because when I search for @aplusk, this is what I get:
But, change the query to Ashton Kutcher Tweets, and this is what you get:

There was a ‘Bing’ for Windows 95 too. Guess who?
<Date: 2009-06-05> <Category: Microsoft> No commentYes, there was a Bing in Windows 95. Chandler Bing from the popular TV Show Friends. Acted by Matthew Perry, he is one of the most loved characters from the show. Matthew Perry, along with Jennifer Aniston, who was also in Friends as Rachel, starred in a promotional instructional video for Windows 95. It was funny and informational with a little bit of story which starts with them ending up in Bill Gates’ office, with a lot of weird characters interfering in between who showed off more features. Matthew Perry really knew his way around Windows 95.
It would be really awesome if they could bring back Matthew Perry and Jennifer Aniston for a marketing video for Bing too. It’s available on YouTube over 4 parts, so click read more to check out the rest.

Bing is live as we all know by now, and the reception has been very good so far. You might have Google as your default browser in Firefox and Live Search in IE, so it’s time to change them to give Bing a try. Here’s a guide on how to add Bing to your desktop and desktop applications:
