According to an anonymous source at WinRumors, Microsoft may be getting ready to release an SDK (software development kit) for Kinect, the Xbox 360 motion sensor, to support Windows PCs and it may happen a lot sooner than anticipated, most likely this summer. The first beta of the official SDK could well be released in the next few months allowing third-party developers to create titles that utilize the Kinect sensor when plugged into a PC. Read more...

This is a pleasant surprise for us Windows Phone 7 users. Flickr has announced an upcoming app for Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7 that easily puts the iPhone version and the non-existent iPad version to shame. Microsoft Studios have announced the launch of an Avatar Kinect for coming Spring. You may also argue that this is a complete PlayStation 3 Home knock-off, but then again you need to live with it; it might just turn out to be something better, who knows. Read more...

Motion capture is not easy business by any means – it involves effort which is why most amateurs would avoid such a thing. One thing that really makes it a piece of cake is Microsoft’s Kinect. How? Well, through yet another Kinect hack, what else! We have seen them before and we see another impressive effort right here. Read more...
