During the press conference on Friday, Steve jobs said that phones are not perfect and almost all smartphones have the problem of “Antennagate”. To show that Antennagate is not a unique problem to iPhone 4, Steve Jobs showed some video demonstrations of some popular smartphone having the same type of problem. At the live iPhone 4 press conference today in Cupertino, Steve Jobs defended the iPhone 4 issues against other phones and claimed that it’s an issue with all phones out there. He went on about how a really few number of people are effected by it, and the issue is being blown out of proportion. They’ve been trying to find a remedy for the issue. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple senior engineer and antenna expert Ruben Caballero had expressed his concerns about the design of iPhone 4 to Apple authorities way before its launch. He had raised his concerns about the antenna design of the device to Steve Jobs in the early part of the iPhone 4 design process but Steve Jobs just ignored it. Gizmodo, yes out of all of them, is reporting strange issues with iPhone 4. When users touch the antenna band, which is wrapped around the body of iPhone 4, it drops a few bars of signal. This doesn’t happen just with calls, but also with WiFi reception. The Internet speed slows down to a great extent when the antenna is touched. Read more...
