Tweetbot is one of the best Twitter apps out there on any mobile ( and even desktop ) platforms. Having used a wide variety of apps on OS X, Windows, iOS, Android and Windows Phone, I have yet to find one that comes even close to what Tweetbot offers. From user experience to design and features, it just feels right. Tweetbot refreshed their app for iOS 7 recently and as expected with any app refresh, there were some refinements required. With version 3.1, Tweetbot has brought forth those much needed improvements.
Apple’s new rumored iPads have been making circles in the rumor mill for a while now and it seems that the launch of the new iOS 7 powered tablets aren’t too far off. Thanks to insiders, AllthingsD has found out that Apple will be holding an invite only meeting on 22nd October, Tuesday where the fifth generation iPad and second generation iPad mini will be unveiled. Instashare is the AirDrop alternative for iOS and OS X devices. If you have an iPhone/iPad or iPod Touch and a Mac, this app will make your life easier. Using apps on your iOS devices and Mac computer and utilising your Wifi or Bluetooth connection, Instashare lets you copy just about any type of file to your iDevice and carry it with you. You can even share files easily between multiple iOS devices.
Apple has released two new video ads titled ‘Alive’ and ‘Together’. Alive showcases different entertainment, musical and educatiional apps while Together focuses on iBooks, Vimeo, games, FaceTime and other similar apps. Both ads also feature iPad and the iPad Mini being uses for the various apps.
It’s been a while since the iPhone 5 was released but users haven’t been able to get their hands on a jailbreak solution so far. If you’re one of those users, it turns out that your luck is about change, with no ETA available of course. Popular jailbreak community developers Pod2g and Planetbeing were caught in the wild ( on Twitter ) discussing their progress on a jailbreak solution.
Apple has just released the third beta of iOS 6.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Just like previous betas, this is a developer only build so unless you’re a registered iOS Developer Program member, you wouldn’t be able to download and install this on your device just yet.
iPhone 5 is a much awaited product in many countries around the world. Despite the whirlwind launch, it still has yet to reach many shores around the globe. Luckily, as per their announcement plan, Apple has announced the roll out of iPhone 5 to 50 countries this December. Unlike some other delayed products roll out, Apple seems to be right on the money with this one.
