Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 6 with Snowbreeze v2.8 Beta 6

Okay, now that we told you the jailbreak was not available, then available, then not available again, iH8snow has released version 2.8 Beta 6 of Snowbreeze that supports iOS 5 Beta 6.  This release of Snowbreeze also removes the UDID check and automatically activates the device once it is restored. Also, the expiration date for the beta is removed when you create the customer firmware as well. The Baseband is also preserved with the new firmware.

Apple slowly taking away access to UDID for Developers!

iOS 5 is expected to be released in late September or early October of this year, and it comes with a ton of new features. Betas for the new iOS have come out almost every 2 weeks now and we can’t wait to see the final version. With all of these releases comes new features and new fixes to current bugs. However, one thing “fixed” in the most recent beta is that developers have a new way for track their users instead of your UDID, or Unique Device Identifier. How does it affect developers and you? Apple helps our eyes in iOS 5 making Toggle Buttons Circular!

If you haven’t had a chance to try iOS 5 Beta on your own, then you may not have noticed the new round button on the toggles. In all the iOS version prior, the toggle was rectangular. I prefer the new round toggle switch, and there is a reason Apple chose those buttons.

Apple Releases OS X Lion 10.7.2 Update, iCloud Beta 8 and Safari 5.1.1 Update 2

It’s been a busy day for Apple. Along with the iOS 5 Beta 6, iTunes 10.5 Beta 6, iWork for iOS beta 2 and other releases, they’ve also dropped the following OS X Lion 10.7.2, iCloud beta 8 and Safari 5.1.1 Update 2 builds.

Apple Releases iTunes 10.5 beta 6

To accompany the release of iOS 5 Beta 6, Apple has released iTunes 10.5 beta 6 for both Mac and Windows. You need this update to be able to install iOS 5 beta 6 on our iOS device or to be able to sync it as well. Alternatively, you can download iOS 5 beta 6 OTA if you’re running iOS 5 beta 5 on a non-jailbroken device.

Apple Release iOS 5 Beta 6 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

Apple has just released the latest iOS 5 beta, version 6, for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This release is accompanied by iTunes 10.5 beta 6 as well as Xcode 4.2 preview 6. Apple TV software beta 5 is also out as well as iWork for iOS beta 2.

HP Discontinues the TouchPad and WebOS, Pulls out the White Flag!

I remember when HP announced the TouchPad. My first thought was “What a joke. There is no way they can compete with the iPad.” Not only that, but WebOS does not have the market penetration compared to Android and iOS. HP today said that it was going to discontinue it’s WebOS devices and look to spin off it’s personal computer division into a separate entity, while big brother HP will focus more on enterprise sales and development.
