A new website has just been launched which pretty much simplifies jailbreaking into a single web application with http://www.ra1nb0wra1n.com/. We’ll update you when we have more information. A new utility iFixer by Kirma has been released which aims to help in fixing issues encountered when using blackra1n or Spirit jailbreak. It fixes issues such as the ASL.dll error when running blackra1n and the iTunes error when using Spirit.

Seems like George Hotz is on fire. Just two days ago he showed the world that has an iPad jailbreak by claiming I make it ra1n on them…iPads. Today, he shared a picture on Twitter showing iPhone OS 4.0 Beta with blackra1n and Cydia, claiming that he got this one too.

It’s getting difficult to keep up with all the jailbreak videos and pictures nowadays. George Hotz, the jailbreak wonder kid, has jailbroken the iPad using blackra1n, which was originally developed as the easiest jailbreak solution for iPhone and iPod Touch.

The only jailbreak for iPhone firmware 3.1.2 available is blackra1n and it still has some issues. The most common issue is the tethered jailbreak. There are certain applications on Cydia that require a reboot. Tethered jailbroken iPod touches will be prompted to be restored after a reboot, which means that you’ll have to restore and jailbreak your iPod Touch again. I found a very useful video on YouTube by kill4thefame that lets you bypass the restore prompt and keep your device jailbroken.

Along with fixing jailbreak issues, it also brings support for tethered jailbreak for iPod Touch 8GB and new iPhone 3GS’es. The wait is quickly over. George has released blackra1n, the jailbreak tool for iPod Touch and iPhone firmware 3.1.2, for Mac OS X. It works exactly the same way as our guide for jailbreaking using blackra1n on Windows defined. There’s no word yet whether it supports the 3G 8GB iPod Touch as mentioned in our troubleshoot guide. A lot of people have been reporting issues with jailbreaking using the new blackra1n tool by George, specially iPod Touch 3G owners. Some of these issues have to do with the fact that this is a tethered jailbreak for iPod Touch 3G so far. This means that to boot your iPod Touch 3G, it must be plugged into your computer and you must run blackra1n again. For those stuck at a white screen or being unable to boot your device, here are a few important pointers to keep in mind during the process:
