Ever since Google Chrome got support for extensions, people have been flocking in large numbers from Firefox. This is evident by Chrome’s rapidly growing market share, which has surpassed Safari, the supposedly ‘world’s fastest and best browser’ ( as said by Steve Jobs ). But for bloggers to make a switch to a new browser, we must have our desired extensions available to even think of it. Extensions which make blogging easier for us, and put a lot information at our disposal at just a few clicks or even none if possible. I’ve compiled a list of such extensions which every blogger would love to have as a part of their blogging repertoire while using Google Chrome.

Pingdom app for iPhone updated to version 2.0; must have app for bloggers and webmasters

4154806457_91c299c696_o Pingdom is a service which lets you keep track of the uptime of your website. It alerts you through various methods whenever your website goes down. Not so long ago, Pingdom had started giving a free account with the most basic services which worked fine with its free iPhone app. The app let you know when your site suffered from downtime along with the exact timings and such details. This app along with Twitter, email and SMS notifications was a bonus for webmasters.

Apps for Windows has been away lately, but it’s back with a focus on making life easy for bloggers :) . Moderator is one of my personal favorites and makes moderating WordPress comments from the comfort of your desktop very easy. It’s an Adobe Air based application and works fine on Windows, OS X and Linux as well. The requirements are very simple; you must have a self-hosted WordPress blog and sufficient rights to install plugins. Here’s the list of features it provides:
