With all the recent PlayStation 3 jailbreak achievements and custom firmwares coming out back to back, there was one little problem remaining to be overcome. The problem was, you could only watch Blu-Ray movies from the region that you were allowed to. While the CES 2011 has seen plenty of announcements from Microsoft, Sony has also put a smile on its fans’ faces by announcing its brand new range of Blu-ray players and the latest home cinema systems for release in 2011. For your information, the newly announced Blu-ray players include: BDP-S380, BDP-S480 and BDP-S580. Also, four new home cinema systems that were made part of this announcement are: BDV-E280, BDV-E380, BDV-E880 and BDV-E780W. BDP-580 is equipped with Blu-Ray support as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. On the contrary, BDP-S380 comes equipped with Wi-Fi but lacks 3D Blu-Ray support whereas the BDP-480 is geared with 3D Blu-Ray support and misses on the Wi-Fi capabilities. Read more...

Another new Laptop Hunter commercial by Microsoft which takes a bitter shot at Apple this time claiming they’re for kids. Even though Lisa, Jackson’s mom, thinks Macs are pretty and popular for her kid’s age, the kid rejects it! Talk about being smart. Instead they get a Sony VAIO FW with Blu-ray and a big screen so he can play games. It’s funny when they say, “BLUU RAYY”. Looks weird honestly. Apple still hasn’t replied to these commercials with I’m a Mac ads so far. Read more...
