Many would have hated to have been fooled by a concocted iCade tale cracked by ThinkGeek last year, but this time it is no joke. As reported by Engadget during their coverage at CES 2011, this new creation is a joint venture courtesy of ION Audio and Atari. The idea quite likely remains the same for this new invention; only just a few more buttons on the control pad with the Bluetooth-based controller make for a great gameplay experience, we suspect. CES wonders continue as ever, and this time the Orb networks pounced on the opportunity to unveil software that is said to turn the PlayStation 3 into an Internet TV. This particular software allows Blu-ray players, including the PlayStation 3, to access movies and TV through services such as Hulu, Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Video on Demand. There has certainly been a buzz around surrounding the release date for the Verizon iPhone. While some predicted it was going to be a January 11th release, others had their own predictions and suggestions to speak of. There were also plenty who were not considering Apple to bond with Verizon, but that bunch of people must be very gutted by this news here. Last year, a series of photos of the upcoming phone were leaked. Verizon is expected to hold a special event on 11th of January, perhaps in Lincoln Center, New York, when an announcement regarding the new soon-to-be-released Verizon iPhones is expected. You wouldn’t expect to hear such Microsoft rumors from a source such as 9to5mac which is an Apple blog, but they sound pretty confident that Microsoft plans to announce two slider smartphones from Project Pink at CES in January of 2010. One of them will be squircle in shape like last generation Zunes and has the code name ‘Turtle’, while the other one, code named ‘Pure’ has a candy bar shape. Both will have slide out keyboards just like Danger’s Sidekick (Microsoft acquired Danger around a year ago). Read more...
