Windows Phone 7 Series theme coming soon to Windows 7 thanks to Rainmeter
Yes, you read it right. Over at DeviantArt, fediaFedia has created a Windows Phone 7 Series theme for Windows 7 which puts up live tiles on your desktop. The theme displays Rainmeter widgets as live tiles and show information such as temperature, date and time, CPU temp, notes, feeds, twitter timeline and much more.
‘Start Windows 7’ theme
Since Windows 7 is just about to launch on 22nd of October ( 12 days left! ), I decided to make this theme dedicated to Windows 7 itself. The Windows logo is surrounded by what Windows 7 is all about, where as the white color stands for the simplicity of doing things in 7 (compared to Vista of course
). The theme is available free for download and works only on Windows 7. Check out the screenshot below for a preview.
Make your Windows 7 Superbar icons centralized like OS X’s Dock
Download the Bing Windows 7 Theme
Do you Bing? If you do, this Windows 7 theme is just for you! With a brand new wallpaper, a matching color scheme and custom startup and shutdown sounds, this theme is just waiting to be installed to your Windows 7 desktop. It’s not an official theme. The credit for the wallpaper and sound editing goes to me, but the sounds have been created by Microsoft themselves and Bing as well
So, what are you waiting for?! Download it now!
How to change the Windows 7 Logon UI button set
Rafael Rivera, the man behind numerous hidden tweaks and discoveries in Windows 7 has posted another one on how to change the button set in the Logon Screen in Windows 7. Why would you want to change the Logon Screen button? You can already change your logon background in Windows 7, but some wallpapers make the button and text hard to read. To solve this issue Microsoft has hidden 3 choices of button sets in Windows 7.

Easily change your Logon Background in Windows 7!
Rafael from WithinWindows has done it again. He has discovered a new logon UI background customization trick that Microsoft has put in Windows 7 for OEMs. It requires a registry change and a few folder changes but does it without the need of any third party tools or hacks.![]()
This does require a bit of work to get it working. First of all you’ll have to enable the functionality in the registry by creating ( if missing ) a DWORD value named OEMBackground in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background and enable its value to 1 or to 0 if you want to disable the functionality. Or you can just use this registry file I created, to quickly enable it.
