Apple says “Thank you. Ten billion times.” Yes! Its a pretty huge landmark in the history of iTunes as App Store has just hit 10 billion downloads. It won’t be too long when the total number of Apps downloaded on iPhones, iPod touches and iPads around the globe hit the 20, 30 or 50 billion mark while Android marketplace waits next in line to announce a certain respectable download figure. Apple had actually set up an online counter few days back counting down to this great milestone and today it officially reaches that mark! Read more...

Larry Larsen has created and posted some amazing Photosynths of the Apollo Moon landings, that took place 40 years ago, along with a 3D version that requires red/blue glasses to be viewed in all its glory. These Photosynths provide a richer experience than what you get by viewing photos. Thousands of images from the Apollo 11, 12 and 17 missions have been used in the creation of these Photosynths. Enjoy them below! Read more...

That’s right. Even though you can’t install all of them at once, that’s what it’ll cost you to buy all of them. Busted loop has done some calculations and found out the price of 55,732 apps ( as of July 7 ) to be $2.59 per app. It goes up to $3.34 if you just count the paid apps which make up 43,194 apps. They’ve also made a table which ranks the total costs of all the apps by iPhone app publishers. The top one is Iceberg Reader, they have 1206 paid apps with a total cost of $16,427.94 Read more...

That’s right. Finally you can resume downloads in Internet Explorer. It works for me on Windows 7build 7057. This ‘feature’ isn’t documented anywhere, but it does work. If your download breaks before 100% completion, just restart the download from its link and save it to the same location. It’ll start from where the download had broken. Very handy, and I’ve been able to continue a few number of downloads thanks to this. Although, if you try to resume the download after ages (ages as in hours) of breakage, it might not work.
