Skyfire, the popular mobile browser for Android, Windows Phone, and iOS now has a new iOS app available. The app is called Skyfire VideoQ, and in a nutshell, allows you to watch Flash video on your iOS device. It works by you sending an email with the link to the video you want to watch and skyfire converts the video for you and you can view it on your app.

They claim that you don’t even need to wait for your videos to convert / stream like on Skyfire. Flash Player 10.3 Beta Released By Adobe, Brings Preferences Integration In Mac OS X!

Earlier today, Adobe released a pre-release version of its new software tool called “Wallaby” which converts Flash content to HTML5 using simple drag and drop technique. Now, another official announcement brings the release of Flash Player 10.3 beta which brings a handful of new features. These include enhanced privacy and settings controls which are neatly integrated into the system and browser preferences in Mac OX. There is also an updated system to notify users if they are running the latest version or not.

Flash Player Update for Android Points to Imminent Gingerbread Launch

Flash player for Android has received an update which makes it compatible with future OS updates. This confirms all the signs and rumors that Gingerbread, Android 2.3, could be in the hands of the public very soon. It’s good to see Adobe readying Flash before the release as this is only a good thing for users although we would love to see better performance on a broader set of Android devices now.

YouTube5 extension for Safari converts YouTube videos to HTML5 to avoid Flash and save CPU cycles

Apple is slowly removing flash from almost all of their devices. It first started with no support for flash in their iOS devices and now the new MacBook Air ships without flash (although it can be installed manually). But this makes almost no difference to Mac users as HTML5 is the future technology for vide and rich internet applications according to Apple and most websites are already adjusting according to that. Mac users would also have noticed that while using YouTube, their MacBooks get hotter as Flash consumes a lot more CPU cycles than most applications. But you can now install a new YouTube5 Safari extension which makes sure that YouTube videos will be e-wrapped as an HTML5 video stream.

Adobe to resume work on Flash Packager for iPhone tool

Yesterday, Apple announced their new App Store development agreement and guidelines that ease the number of restrictions on App Store app development which also includes a relaxed policy on third party development tools. In response to this change, Adobe has mentioned that they will again start working on for their Packager for iPhone tool in Flash Professional CS5 which will allow developers to export their Flash projects in native iOS format.

Install Flash (Frash) easily on your iPhone 3GS/4 with a Cydia Repo

We covered Frash’s arrival to iPhone earlier today. It involved a lengthy process of SSH-ing into your iPhone using a PC or Mac and then copying the frash.deb file into a folder, after creating a couple of folders. The whole process has been made as easy as adding a Cydia repo and installing a package.
