Textfree was released on Friday for the iPad, allowing you to send and receive SMS and MMS messages right on your iPad.  Some of you may already be familiar with their original app for iPhone, Textfree Unlimited, which allowed you to send and receive texts on your phone for free, without using your allotted amount from AT&T.  The iPad app provides the same purpose, even on WiFi.

Li’Messenger: Best Messenger/Facebook Chat App for Windows Phone 7 with Some Compromises

<Category: Microsoft, Windows Phone 7> No comment

Finally, we have a new Messenger app for Windows Phone 7, Li’Messenger that’s actually pleasant to use although with some features lacking that might get resolved in the next version, we hope. Li’Messenger is a free app without any ads and seems way faster than the semi-official Messenger app that was already available in the MarketPlace which honestly, no one likes. Li’Messenger, on the other hand, has a small footprint, it’s fast, designed using Metro in mind and connects directly to Windows Live. It also supports signing in from more than one place so you can be signed in to Messenger from your desktop, Xbox and your WP7 at the same time. The Messenger app by Miyowa doesn’t allow this.

Twitter for Android Updated with its iOS Counterpart’s Features

<Category: Android, Google> No comment

It’s clearly obvious that apps on iOS are just a different ball game altogether when compared to their Android versions. Take the Facebook app as an example. Although it got an upgrade yesterday, it still doesn’t match the speed and features of its iOS version. Similarly, Twitter for Android has also received an upgrade, bringing it on par to its iOS sibling in terms of feature set. It brings features that iOS users are already used to, such as, Pull to Refresh, Swipe to Reveal, Tweet Details Page and much more.
