The much awaited tool, greenpois0n, was released earlier today. It jailbreaks all third and fourth generation iPhone and iPod Touch models. Unlike previously expected, greenpois0n doesn’t use SHAtter but instead the Chronic Dev Team opted for limera1n exploit found by GeoHot. This throws all those talks about the jailbreak community being divided over the different jailbreak tools and exploits, down the drain. As per tradition, we’ve prepared some guides on how to go on with jailbreaking your iOS device using greenpois0n. Read more...

No matter what you think of GeoHot, he is a legend in the jailbreaking scene. He has proved this yet again by releasing limera1n before any other team could release their own jailbreak tools. limera1n is unpatchable and jailbreaks every 3rd and 4th generation iOS device out there with iOS 4.0, 4.1 and beyond. It’s untethered but not a 1 click jailbreak to keep it untethered. Still, it’s very simple to use. Read more...

A few days ago, we showed you how to install Froyo Android 2.2 (JPC build) on a Samsung Galaxy S. A lot of users root Android phones to gain additional features and run apps that aren’t allowed to run normally. Rooting also allows you to install the One Click Lag Fix app that removes even the slightest lags you might encounter while using a Galaxy S, making it the fastest Android phone out there. It scores a staggering 2100-2300 points in Quadrant benchmark when running the official Android 2.1 build with LagFix installed. We showed you how to root Android 2.1 on Galaxy S in a previous post.
