Jailbreak Tool sn0wbreeze 2.9.2 updated to support iOS 5.1 on non-A5 processor devices
ih8sn0w, the creator of sn0wbreeze has released a new version of his Windows only application which supports jailbreaking iOS 5.1 on iPhone, iPod and iPad ( which do not use an A5 processor ). The jailbreak will be tethered for now ( except for on iPhone 3GS with old bootrom ) until a better vulnerability has been found to enable untethered operation.

The awesome ‘Dream Team’, comprised of the iPhone Dev Team and the Chronic Dev Team rolled out the public release of Corona A5 jailbreak tool for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Chronic Dev Team was the first to roll out an app called Absinthe which lets users quickly jailbreak their A5 processor iOS devices. Initially released on OS X only, with the Windows version to follow, this app lets you jailbreak your device without even putting it in DFU mode. Apple launches iBooks 2 for iPad and Reinvents Textbooks
Apple announced iBooks 2 for iPad yesterday with the major new announcement of iBooks textbooks. iBooks textbooks are not simply digital versions of their paper back counterparts but they contain interactive photos, videos, navigation, diagrams and so much more. This is a major step by Apple towards helping out students. Companies such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill and Pearson will be offering educational titles in the iBookstore and most books will be priced at $14.99 or less as compared to the paperback versions which cost anywhere from $60 to $100.

One of the first comebacks that people who aren’t willing to let go of the desktop/notebook paradigm against iPad is that it’s just a consumption device and not one for creation. This is said despite the fact that iPad has awesome creativity apps like iMovie and Garageband as well as the complete iWorks suite of apps. If you haven’t had a chance to try iOS 5 Beta on your own, then you may not have noticed the new round button on the toggles. In all the iOS version prior, the toggle was rectangular. I prefer the new round toggle switch, and there is a reason Apple chose those buttons.
