It’s not been a long time since Apple announced that there are over 425,000 applications in the App Store. In fact, this was last month and today, a month afterwards that number seems to have been increased by 50,000 according to Apps Fire.

We posted a rumor just a few days ago that Apple was going to release a new iPod Touch 5, that would support 3G connectivity. Now, with the newest iPod Touch Beta, we found a “Use Cellular” Toggle Switch. The best explanation for this is that Apple forgot to take it out and was meant for the iPhone version of iOS. However, we still want to believe the Apple will release an iPod Touch with 3G connectivity. In any case, we will have to wait until the official announcement, which could be coming as early as next month.

The folks over at 9to5mac have gotten some leaked photos of what looks like the newest iPod Touch, in white. The photos themselves represent the same design as the 4th generation iPod build, which could mean that these were scrapped white parts or even white prototypes.

Apple has been releasing iOS 4.3 betas to developers for testing. These betas have shown a hint of new features that will be available in the final build such as Personal Hotspot and the likes. Macstories have been informed through a source that iOS 4.3 final build will be released by Apple on February 14th at 10 am PST.

Most iPhone and iPod touch users would have noticed some changed in Gmail while visiting it from Mobile Safari. On Wednesday, Google rolled out an update to Gmail(mobile) for iPhone and iPod touch. The two major changes in this new update are that it has faster scrolling now and its navigation toolbar stays on the top of the screen when you scroll through your mail.
