Apple has just released the third beta of iOS 6.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Just like previous betas, this is a developer only build so unless you’re a registered iOS Developer Program member, you wouldn’t be able to download and install this on your device just yet.

Good new for iOS users owning Xbox 360 as Microsoft has replaced their Xbox Live app for iOS with Xbox SmartGlass app. SmartGlass was announced by Microsoft back in E3 2012 for iOS and Android devices. The Android version was released a few weeks ago. Using SmartGlass iOS app, users will be able to control their Xbox 360 consoles using touchscreen swipes and the controller buttons assigned to corners of their device screen. Continue Reading

Apple released iOS 6.0.1 just a while ago which has been followed up with a release of iOS 6.1 beta as well as Xcode 4.6 beta. iOS 6.1 beta has a few updates for Maps, Safari and Passbook while there are some SDK updates for Map Kit. Find out more about each item after the jump.
Apple has just rolled out iOS 6.0.1 OTA update for all devices currently running iOS 6. The update has special focus on the latest iOS devices such as iPhone 5 and 5th generation iPod Touch and contains the following fixes
GTA Vice City has been a very popular game for PC and gaming consoles alike. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the game, Rockstar announced that they will bring their most popular game in the GTA series to iOS and Android devices. Back in June this year, Rockstar released GTA III for iOS and Android devices on its 10th anniversary.
It is indeed a very good news for mobile gamers especially those who have played GTA Vice City on PCs or PS2 as now they will be able to explore 80’s Miami again but this time on their iOS or Android devices. GTA Vice City will feature the same experience as the original one with high resolution graphics. Along with the game, Rockstar will be releasing a new Anniversary trailer and never-before-seen artwork from the game.
No details on the price and exact release date have yet been revealed by Rockstar but we expect it will cost the same as GTA III when it went on sale i.e. $4.99 on both platforms.

Angry birds fans rejoice! Rovio makers have joined hands with Lucasfilm Ltd. (the makers of Star Wars movie franchise) to create a new version of Angry Birds. It’s a sad day of remembrance for many who loved Steve Jobs. It’s been one year since he passed away. He revolutionised the industry by introducing Apple, currently the most profitable technology company in the world. A company that revolutionised not only the personal computer industry but also digital media and many hand held devices.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook has taken over Apple’s website home page along with a video that features a montage of Steve Jobs’ popular quotes and famous pictures. It includes some of his most popular product announcements that changed the world and also shows what his vision was – to skate to where the puck would be, instead of where it is. Not only Apple, but the whole technology industry can be seen paying tributes today to Steve Jobs today. You can find articles on CNN, Wired, Patently Apple, NBC, BBC and other publications. The City of Cupertino will fly the city flag at half-staff today out of respect. Various other media channels are also carrying tributes to Steve that can be seen through out the day.
