There’s a lot of hype surrounding the event with the iPod Touch expected to get the biggest change in looks and feature department ever since its launch. The iPod Nano is also expected to lose its click wheel in favor of a touch screen. iOS 4.1? Check.

Apple’s iPod Nano To Lose the Click Wheel in Favor of A Touch Screen

Apple will hold a special media event on September 1st in which they will reveal their new iPod lineup. We have heard this rumor before and now iPodnn has reported that Apple is preparing a big design change for iPod Nano that would shrink the device in size and it would loose the physical click wheel. Wu also claims that if the new design is to be released then I would be released on September 1st.

Apple to hold special media event September 1st

Yesterday, Bloomberg claimed that Apple will hold their media event on September 7th. Today, Apple has issued media invitations for a special event that will be held on Wednesday, September 1st in San Francisco. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts which is the traditional location for Apple’s media fall event and it is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

Apple does not have big expectations with upcoming iTV and TV Show Rentals

Bloomberg reported that Apple will hold their media event on 7th September in which they will unveil their new iPod lineup, iTV and TV show rentals. Peter Burrows of Bloomberg follows up today’s earlier report that Apple does not expect the upcoming version of Apple TV to be a great hit just like some of their other iDevices because most people aren’t ready to dump their cable TV and shift to content which would be provided by Apple with their new plans.

Kevin Rose, Founder of Digg, thinks next-gen Apple TV/iTV will launch in September

Last week, Engadget reported that Apple will make some big changes to Apple TV as they are planning to run the next device with iOS with Apps support like other iDevices. They will also rename the device as iTV which would match with other iDevices. The founder of Digg, Kevin Ross thinks that Apple will be releasing a new version of ‘Apple TV’ and will still call it Apple TV. He doesn’t have any technical information but he thinks Apple will launch it in September.
