Apple is reportedly pushing journalists and reporters to attend their WWDC event, because of groundbreaking software updates. This will include iOS 5 and Mac OSX Lion. Microsoft has released a toolkit for iOS developers to use in order to utilize Microsoft’s Cloud Based storage solution for developers to use to host and build applications. The toolkit is obviously also available for the Windows Phone platform, and Microsoft says that an Android version will be out next month. The iOS toolkit allows the creation of apps for iPhone and iPad using Objective-C and XCode, with Microsoft stating that they want to make it easier for developers to use their platforms. Browsing the web today from my iPad, I noticed that I can now access my Amazon Cloud Drive from my device, even using Safari. This means that I can now listen to my music, from my Cloud Drive, without any other software, or App. Read more...

Several sources are now stating the Apple is making a deal with Nuance, the creators of Dragon Naturally Speaking, for speech recognition software for iOS5. Nuance’s technology is already used for software created by Siri, a company that Apple acquired last year. Apple has also been said to be preparing to bring an integration of Siri’s AI and voice control capabilities to iOS5 with is due to release later this year. Read more...

iPhone Dev Team’s PwnageTool officially gets an update today to support iOS 4.3.3 untethered jailbreak on all devices which include iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, 3G & iPad. Still no support for jailbreaking 4.3.3 on iPad 2 however. Developers have created a new browser based App store, similar to cydia, but on the web. If you are familiar with the Android Marketplace or the Amazon App Store, this new Lima App Store allows you to download and install via the web. With Cydia getting over a million hits a day, the jailbreak market is still going strong, leaving no doubt that this Lima App Store will be a success.
