Enable or Disable Multitasking and Wallpapers in iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G after jailbreaking with JailbreakMe 2.0 ‘Star’

<Category: Apple, iPhone, iPod> 8 Comments

JailbreakMe has to be the easiest and simplest jailbreak solution in recent times. Sadly, it doesn’t enable the disabled-by-default-by-Apple iOS 4 features for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G i.e. multitasking and home screen wallpapers. Personally, I wouldn’t dare enabling these features as they take the life out of these devices and slow them down terribly, but some people like to have the option available. You can use zToggle to enable or disable multitasking and background wallpapers on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G on the go.ztoggle1

iPhone 2G/3G/3GS/4 Speed Comparison Video

<Category: Apple, iPhone> No comment

A video has been posted on YouTube that compares the real world usage performance of iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS and 4 by putting them side by side and clocking the load times of different apps on them. Spoiler: There isn’t much of a different in the loading times of iPhone 2G and 3G, similarly iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 don’t have much difference either. Which means, if you have an iPhone 3GS, you don’t need to upgrade to iPhone 4 based on speed alone, unless you want a huge amount of memory for multitasking.iPhone 2G 3G 3GS 4 Speed Comparison
