Another week, another iPhone 4G leak. As if the previous iPhone-Gizmodo fiasco, Vietnam iPhone 4G leak and the French iPhone leak weren’t enough, here’s an0ther new leak via Vietnam as reported by CrunchGear via Nowhereelse.
Engadget is reporting that yet another iPhone 4G leak has appeared from Vietnam on an online forum. The cool thing about this leak is that it isn’t running any debug OS but iPhone OS 4! Engadget thinks that this is an older prototype than the one Gizmodo had found as it is marked ‘N90 PRO2’ which stands for N90 (Internal Apple codename for iPhone 4G) Working Prototype 2.

Apple has completely lost it – along with countless iPhone 4G prototypes. The company that was known for its tight secrecy should be feeling outraged and embarrassed over the leaked prototypes of one of its flagship products, finding their way on the Internet.

I don’t know how it is happening but again somehow Apple has lost another iPhone 4G and this time a Vietnamese forum taoviet.vn has posted its images.These screenshots are nearly identical to the ones that Gizmodo leaked a month ago.

The story of the lost iPhone is now nearly fully exposed now that Wired has found that Brian Hogan is the man who found the iPhone prototype and then sold it to Gizmodo for $5000 for reviewing it.
According to a report by Mashable it is expected that Apple may launch their next generation iPhone HD/4G just after the World Wide Developers Conference which is scheduled to begin on 7th of June. This is what Ben Parr has to say:

Steve Wozniak was one of the co-founders of Apple along with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. He is not just a great engineer but he is also known for his good sense of humor. And after Gray Powell’s case of the the lost iPhone prototype, Steve Wozniak could not stop himself from making a joke of this scene.

Now that the dust has mostly settled ( not sure for poor Gary Powell, maybe he had one beer too many ), it’s time we take a look from another perspective at the whole ‘How Gray Powell lost an iPhone 4G Prototype while being drunk in bar’ saga. At last the mystery of the lost iPhone has finished and now it’s confirmed that Gizmodo have the real iPhone 4G prototype. Apple’s senior legal chief Bruce Sewell has contacted Gizmodo and asked them to give their iPhone back.

Gray Powell is a 27 year old Apple Software Engineer who was working on iPhone Baseband Software, a little program which enables iPhone to make calls. On March 18, he decided to go to Gourmet Haus Staudt which is a good place to enjoy German ales. While he decided to go to a great place for enjoying beer but he also brought the secret iPhone 4G prototype with him.
