Jailbreak iPhone 4S or iPad 2 using CLI on Windows

As earlier covered by iTD, the iPhone Dev Team released a CLI (command line interface) for Windows and OS X that lets users jailbreak iPhone 4S or iPad 2 with iOS 5.0.1 The purpose of the CLI is to help in debugging and jailbreaking iOS devices. While we would suggest users to go for Absinthe if they are on OS X ( Windows version isn’t available yet ), for those of us who are on Windows, there’s no other option such as redsn0w available yet.

Apple launches iBooks 2 for iPad and Reinvents Textbooks

Apple announced iBooks 2 for iPad yesterday with the major new announcement of iBooks textbooks. iBooks textbooks are not simply digital versions of their paper back counterparts but they contain interactive photos, videos, navigation, diagrams and so much more. This is a major step by Apple towards helping out students. Companies such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill and Pearson will be offering educational titles in the iBookstore and most books will be priced at $14.99 or less as compared to the paperback versions which cost anywhere from $60 to $100.

Apple Releases iTunes 10.5 beta 6

To accompany the release of iOS 5 Beta 6, Apple has released iTunes 10.5 beta 6 for both Mac and Windows. You need this update to be able to install iOS 5 beta 6 on our iOS device or to be able to sync it as well. Alternatively, you can download iOS 5 beta 6 OTA if you’re running iOS 5 beta 5 on a non-jailbroken device.

Moments ago, Apple released iOS 5 beta 5 to the developers. With it comes iTunes 10.5 beta 5 which like the previous releases, is mandatory for syncing your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with the fifth beta of iOS 5. If you’ve already updated to iOS 5 beta 5 OTA and are getting an error trying to sync with iTunes, all you need to do is download iTunes 10.5 Beta for your Mac or Windows computer and everything will be back to normal!
