The first unofficial jailbreak for iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) with iOS 4.1 is now available. It requires a custom ROM to be created using a modified version of PwnageTool and iOS 4.1 Jailbreak for Mac. This will only work if your iPhone 3GS has iOS 3.1.2/3.1.3 with a redsn0w/pwnagetool or sn0wbreeze jailbreak. Those who used Spirit, Blackra1n or JailbreakMe – this wont work for you. Also, hacktivation doesn’t work so you’ll need your iPhone carrier SIM or use the phonebook SIM activation method before you can use ultrasn0w to unlock it. Read more...

According to them, Apple hasn’t yet made any deals with record companies to provide any iTunes update that will let you stream music directly to your devices, but it could possibly unveil a web version of iTunes Music Store coming Wednesday, 1st September at the Apple media event where the new iPod and possibly iTV would be unveiled.
