Apple has released a Press Update that their were more than 1 Million downloads of OSX Lion on the first day. This is Apple’s eighth major release of OSX and the first to be distributed through the Mac App Store.

Mac OS X 10.7 aka “Lion” is arguably the most advanced operating system ever built and ever since its release, people have been downloading it from the Mac App Store like crazy. Now that you know how to burn your own copy of Lion to a DVD and create a bootable USB Drive, here’s a nifty trick to get Front Row back on you Mac. As you may or may not know, Lion no longer has Front Row as a feature. Front Row was that nifty little Media Player that would bring up a nice full screen interface, which would later be used on the Apple TV. If you were or are a user of Front Row, and now have upgraded to Lion, there is a way to get it back. You will however need access to a Mac running 10.6 to do this trick.

There are many ways in which you can install Mac OS X Lion 10.7 on a compatible Mac computer once downloaded from the Mac App Store. You can archive the downloaded file and create a bootable OS X Lion DVD or even install the OS on a separate partition on the same computer running Snow Leopard. However, for installation on Macs such as a MacBook Air with no optical media, it is also possible to create a bootable USB flash or external hard drive using the downloaded OS X Lion installer file.
