Microsoft has released the first evaluation build of SQL Server 2008 R2 Evaluation August CTP (quiet a handful isn’t it? Why not just call it SQL Server 2008 R2 Beta ?) to MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Downloads are available in the form of Enterprise Edition ( x86, x64, ia64 ) and Express Edition ( x86, x64, x86 and x64 WoW ). Public access to the CTP will be available tomorrow.

Windows 7 RTM available for download now on MSDN and TechNet!

While we wait for Twitter and Facebook to get back to 100% working conditions, we have something to do now! The moment is here that we’ve all been waiting for. The wait for Windows 7 RTM is over and MSDN users ( including me ) and TechNet members as well as the invited private beta testers can now get their greedy hands on Windows 7 RTM build.

Windows 7 RTM FAQ – All you need to know about Windows 7

Windows 7 RTM FAQ A lot of people have been asking me when Windows 7 will release and what RTM means. They also seem unsure of which version to get. So, I decided to make a FAQ for Windows 7 RTM. If you have any questions that aren’t a part of this FAQ, mention them in the comments and I’ll answer them and add them to the list.
