Last year, Opera for iPhone was released with features like “Opera Turbo” which allows loading pages twice as fast on a slower network. Now, the first ever screenshots of Opera for iPad have been released by Softpedia. Though its a preliminary version, it appears that the testers were quite impressed with its speed and performance. Despite some page scrolling and font rendering issues on the iPhone version, Opera for iPad promises to provide a much better experience on the bigger screen.
Google provides browser add-on to opt-out of Google Analytics
<Date: 2010-05-26> <Category: Google> No commentA huge number of websites ( including this one ), use Google Analytics to track Internet traffic as well as traffic patterns. A large set of data can be gathered based on user’s location such as location, OS version, browser version and much more – although the user can not be personally identified. Even then, Google has decided to release a browser add-on which lets users opt-out of Google Analytics. This seems like a move in reaction to steadily rising privacy concerns about online services and websites such as Facebook and Google.

Opera Mini on the iPhone just wasn’t that great compared to Safari. Safari is just an amazing browser for Mac. Opera 10.52 is another “speed freak” browser, and with a new release for the Mac, do you think it’ll beat Safari?
Opera Mini now available in the App Store
<Date: 2010-04-13> <Category: Apple, iPad, iPhone, iPod> No commentFinally the wait is over! Opera Mini has been approved for the iPhone and it’s available on the App Store as we speak. It’s free, it’s fast and it does what Opera is meant to do, which other browsers can’t on a phone; provide a better internet experience at lightning fast speeds.

Opera coming to both iPhone and Android!
<Date: 2010-02-10> <Category: Android, Apple, Google, iPhone> Only 1 commentOpera Mobile is the world’s most popular browser for smartphones, with over 25% share, as compared to Safari Mobile on iPhone OS which has just a little bit over 22%. What confuses me is how will they release to the iPhone, despite Apple not allowing any browser other then Safari Mobile ( those that exist in the App Store use Safari’s rendering engine ).

Some guys from Google recently surveyed many people to find out that they didn’t know what a web browser is. It was quiet shocking seeing how everybody uses them to Facebook and Youtube but doesn’t know what that piece of software is. Seeing this, some folks from Google have created a website called WhatBrowser.org, which provides information about them in a very simple manner.

Isn’t internet censorship annoying sometimes? Sites like Facebook, Twitter and even Gmail blocked on computers in your colleges and your workplaces. Large scale internet censorship can be seen in North Korea, where people have access to computers that are linked to a closely monitored intranet. Other countries also routinely ban to regulate the information that can be accessed by residents.
