Here we go again. Yet another video showing Windows Phone 7 OS running on HTC HD2. In case you don’t know the background to this story, HTC HD2 was to get Windows Phone 7 update but in the end it seems to have missed Microsoft’s hardware requirements by just the lack of a hardware search button. Whatever the case, hackers have been hard at work to get Windows Phone 7 OS ported to HTC HD2 so that all those owners who had bought it hoping that it’ll get Microsoft’s latest mobile OS update can have their dreams fulfilled.

The new Dell Venue Pro will run the new Windows Phone 7 OS. This super spec smart phone has a big 4.1 inch touch screen and a slide down keyboard for quick typing along with a massive 8GB internal memory. It is also packing a 5 megapixel, auto focus camera and an FM radio. The internals include a 1Ghz processor, 512MB RAM so you can be assured, it’ll be as fast as other Windows Phone 7 devices by HTC or Samsung.

A brief history first. In 2004, Microsoft began working on a new phone OS codenamed Photon. Due to various problems, the whole project was scrapped but in 2008 in the Windows Phone team started from scratch by making a new OS called Windows Phone 7.
After much wait, Windows Phone 7 was launched today in New York and Europe. You will be able to get a Windows Phone 7 device starting November 8 in the US. Read more...

Just a few days ago , Froyo FRF85B build was released official for Nexus One for both T-Mobile and AT&T users. The Froyo updates haven’t stopped yet as there is yet another build released today. Again, this new update is being pushed off for both T-Mobile and AT&T users. The build number of this new update is FRF91 and its size is about 900k which means it doesn’t have any big changes. Recently, Android OS was modified to run on the iPhone 2G ( check out our guide on how to install it ). Almost a week ago, it was demoed running on an iPhone 3G as well. This might hit some users as bad news, but it’s true and it’s confirmed by PlayStation Europe’s Blog, updating your old PS3 would take away the “Install Other OS” option. The reason given is “security concerns”.

Earlier today we saw the HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7 Series, but the most we saw were just pictures which can easily be Photoshopped. This video just surfaced showing the HD2 running the OS. Though it’s laggy and slow, but it looks as though the HD2 is a capable enough device to run it!
