All you need to know about Windows Azure

PDC09, Microsoft’s Professional Developer Conference is all set to kick off on 17th November. Among many exciting technologies, Windows Azure will be one of the highlights of the event. Windows Azure is a cloud based services operating system that provides developers on-demand computing environment, storage for hosting and scalability purposes and web application management. With Windows Azure, user’s web applications are hosted on Microsoft’s datacenters.

iPod Touch price cuts, storage and performance increase.

As rumored, the iPod Touch didn’t get the cameras due to some quality issues with the first batch that was shipped to Apple. The iPod Nano line did get video cameras though. The iPod Touch was touted as a great iPod, pocket computer and a portable game player at the event and got some good price  cuts. A 64Gb version was introduced too.

Zune HD pricing revealed plus first browser pictures (update: video added)

It’s been a busy day in Zune HD news again. Cnet has published the first pictures of the Zune HD web browser in action. The browser seems to have little to no chrome, except for a bar at the bottom for bookmarking and backward navigation. As expected, it works in both portrait and landscape modes. The keyboard has a different effect than the iPod as the neighboring keys of the pressed one are also magnified, when pressed. Although the pressed key is the largest and most prominent.

The cost of buying every iPhone App from the App Store is $144,326.06

Busted loop has done some calculations and found out the price of 55,732 apps ( as of July 7 ) to be $2.59 per app. It goes up to $3.34 if you just count the paid apps which make up 43,194 apps. They’ve also made a table which ranks the total costs of all the apps by iPhone app publishers. The top one is Iceberg Reader, they have 1206 paid apps with a total cost of $16,427.94

Windows 7 box art confirmed by Microsoft Store

Long Zheng has found official confirmation for Windows 7 box art from the Microsoft Store. It looks the same as  the one leaked by CentrumXP.pl. While this art is confirmed for the full version upgrades, the upgrade version have yet to be confirmed. They aren’t as pleasant on the eyes as these ones, so we’ll have to wait for them to be uncovered. The above box art can be seen at the Microsoft Store, but there’s no sign of pricing yet.
