An all new PlayStation 3 Slim model (CECH-3000B) has just been made official by Sony which is lighter and consumes less power. The wattage has been reduced to 200W from previous 230W model while the weight has gone down to 5.7 pounds from 6.6. The unit will retail for $435 in Japan by September 2011. This has actually brought back what Sony once took away and what started the whole Sony vs Geohot war in the first place. This Dual Boot GameOS / Linux CFW is however, a lot more than Sony’s OtherOS.
