Mozilla have been churning out betas for Firefox 4 like anything. I’ve been following the progress of the betas closely and there has been a lot of progress through out the development life cycle for Firefox 4 so far although it’s still not Google Chrome like fast yet.

Microsoft Releases Internet Explorer 9 (Release Candidate) For Download!
The long awaited Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate (RC) has just gone live and is now available for download via official links from Microsoft. The company is planning to unveil the IE 9 RC at a special event in San Francisco today. Internet Explorer 9 introduces tons of new features and security enhancements such as Tracking Protection, a new privacy feature and ActiveX filter that adds the ability to block ActiveX controls.
Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4 release candidate now available for MSDN subscribers
Visual Studio 2010, the latest version of Microsoft’s IDE with a new improved UI built using WPF and tools for Windows 7 and SharePoint 2010 development has already been delayed. Originally slated for 22nd March, the release was delayed to performance issues. The latest launch date has been set for April 12, 2010. Appropriately, Microsoft has delivered a release candidate build for Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4 framework. It is currently available for download to MSDN subscribers while it will be available for public download on 10th February.
Updates available for Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7 RC
Updates are already available for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows 7 RC which address a performance issue with the browser as mentioned in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 970858.
Keep your Windows 7 Graphics Driver up to date
If you have download Windows 7 RC or are downloading it, you might want to check out the latest version of ATi and nVidia’s graphics drivers for the new OS. The new drivers support WDDM 1.1 for Windows 7, so don’t bother installing Windows Vista’s graphic drivers as they might cause instability and you wont get the full benefits of WDDM 1.1 from your Direct X 10 graphics card.
