Samsung is ready to release an OTA update for all its Galaxy Tab 10.1 users this Friday i.e August 05, 2011. The update consists of TouchWiz UX, custom designed for Galaxy 10.1 Tablet running Android Honeycomb 3.1 OS. At a special event held in NewYork yesterday, Samsung has already upgraded some of the Galaxy 10.1 tablets to the new UI. In addiction to the UI enhancements, the update will also include Amazon Music Player, Words with Friends, Swype, Social Hub, Samsung Media Hub & also the Kindle software.

After a long wait and tons of leaked Android 2.2 Froyo builds, Samsung Galaxy S users got a well deserved Gingerbread 2.3.2 build I9000XWJV1. This is a beta build but everything seems to work in it. There are some reported incompatibilities with different apps but that’s due to the fact that it’s a Gingerbread build and not Froyo. Other than that, it seems like a good build to try out. From the looks of it, its pretty much clear that there is no stopping to what Samsung is aiming at in 2011 and beyond. Already having sold over 10 million units of Samsung Galaxy S, the best selling android phone in the world, Samsung is still looking strong to take this number way above its targeted sale. Samsung has officially made this announcement stating that it took them mere seven months to reach this huge landmark in an already over saturated mobile industry.

It seems that Samsung is catching up with Apple pretty fast by producing a counter to its hottest selling gadgets one by one. First came the Galaxy S competing the iPhone, then the Galaxy Tab to match the iPad and now they are planning to launch Galaxy Player which is aimed at rivaling the iPod touch. The Samsung Galaxy Player, which has been confirmed to be revealed at the CES 2011, will be based on Galaxy S smartphone running Android OS 2.2 Froyo but without the mobile capabilities.

In case you’ve been unhappy with the laggy performance and delayed rollout of Froyo for Galaxy S by Samsung, the silver lining has been revealed. A super fast, lag free build marked Android 2.2.1 i9000XXJPU has been leaked which fixes much of the issues people used to complain about previously. Gone are the days when you needed to install a lag fix just to make the phone useable under heavy load ( a lot of people will still say that a lag fix is needed, don’t listen to them ).
