Apple Releases iTunes 10.5 beta 6

To accompany the release of iOS 5 Beta 6, Apple has released iTunes 10.5 beta 6 for both Mac and Windows. You need this update to be able to install iOS 5 beta 6 on our iOS device or to be able to sync it as well. Alternatively, you can download iOS 5 beta 6 OTA if you’re running iOS 5 beta 5 on a non-jailbroken device.

Apple Releases First Lion Update, Mac OS X 10.7.1 [Direct Download Links]

It hasn’t been much time since Apple launched Lion, Mac OS X 10.7, to the general public. There have been cries of various issues, specifically the unreliability of WiFi connections in Lion, due to which Apple has hurriedly released the first update, 10.7.1 to the general public. Weirdly, this build wasn’t even released to developers before general availability today while OS X 10.7.2 was seeded to developers.

Apple’s Boot Camp Software updated to 3.2 for Windows

Apple has quietly updated Boot Camp software, which allows Windows to run on Macs in dual boot mode, to version 3.2. This is a highly recommended update by Apple and brings the following bug fixes and improvements for Windows users:

Microsoft reveals Xbox Kinect technology

Microsoft have revealed the technology used in their upcoming motion based gaming device Kinect ( previously called Project Natal ) for Xbox 360. The secret was finally revealed by a patent application filled by Microsoft with the US patent and trademark office.

iPhone 4 Proximity sensor issue to be solved with next software update

One of the issues reported with iPhone 4 is of proximity issues which cause problems during calls. Although only a few people have this issue. Today, Apple announced in their live press conference that they are currently working on a proximity sensor issue fix and they would soon give another software update to solve it.

Radium – a great but simple Internet Radio Player for Mac

Internet radio is a great medium of listening to good music and discovering some new songs as well. There are countless apps out there ( even iTunes has the functionality ), but none of them compare to the simplicity that Radium offers. It requires almost no setup, sits in the menu bar and just works.

Software update to solve iPad WiFi issues

After the launch of iPad we heard that some iPads had issues with dodgy Wifi connectivity. Even though a small number of people have reported these issues, it is up to Apple to fix them. (we haven’t witnessed or heard about any iPad issues from our friends, even ours works great!) Trying to keep up with the magical device tagline, Apple has confirmed that they will address these Wifi-connectivity problems with a software update.

Android 2.1 for Motorola Droid coming soon!

Droid users, rejoice! Android 2.1 update is just around the corner, and it will be the full fledged update, with live wallpapers, 3D gallery and other features unlike previously rumored. The update version will be AP: ESE53/BP: C_01.3E.03P. The update is expected to be rolled out this week. The update roll out begins tomorrow.

Notion Ink’s Adam whoops iPad’s butt in specifications, but in software – not so much.

image You might have never heard of Notion Ink before, but it has been in the talks all over gadget blogs across the Internets. Why? It has way better specifications than the glorious iPad. Adam has almost double the battery life than that of the iPad, a PixelQi screen which can act as both a normal LCD display as well as an E-Ink like color display for longer reading hours and not to forget features like 1080p video support, HDMI output, nVidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, USB ports, 3MP autofocus camera and many more.
